I'm Shanda, a home chef, a biologist with an emphasis on genetics, and a cultural explorer through food. The cultural sharing that centers around food never ceases to amaze me! The people, the regional ingredients, and the endearing family stories that get passed from plate to plate.

I hope people decide to replicate some of my kitchen love I show here and pass it forward, as I love to do with, friends, family, and coworkers.

There will be an occasional "Well, isn't this story/article interesting?" concerning the world of personal and population genetics since advocating for discussion on the genetic-side of healthcare is also a passion of mine.
